Kirsti hails from Ireland and has now set up life in Melbourne. With a passion for musculoskeletal physio and women’s health, and having joined us in early 2017, she is dedicated to enhancing the health and fitness of the Pakenham and Berwick community. Kirsti has a particular interest in treating back, shoulder pain and pelvic floor issues where she often utilises pilates and education to promote good health and fitness perinatally.
Kirsti graduated in 2009 with an Honours degree in Physiotherapy from University College Dublin and subsequently carried out a research masters in Spinal Cord Injury. She has presented and published her research at international level and mentored numerous undergraduate physios over the years. Prior to moving to Melbourne, Kirsti developed experience working on the orthopaedic surgical wards of Auckland City Hospital and also gained her musculoskeletal and sports injury management experience through private practice in NZ.
Kirsti is driven to apply quality research to her practice to provide patients with an understandable diagnosis and a treatment plan which sets them up to get better quickly and stay better for longer. Kirsti uses skills in education, manual therapy, dry needling and exercise prescription as a way to enable patients to achieve optimal physical functioning and inspire confidence in their bodies.
When Kirsti is not at the clinic, you are likely to find her in the gym, walking her dog, or trying to balance on her paddle board!
