B.P.Th (M.U.H.S. India), APAM
Kia completed a Bachelor Physiotherapy in India in 2010, before relocating to Singapore initially and then finally settling in Australia in 2015. Prior to joining our practice, Kia gained experience providing pain management and mobility training to residents in the aged care sector, and also in private practice where she enjoyed treating various musculoskeletal conditions, and worked with a large NDIS caseload. With a passion for pain science, her other special interests include the management and treatment of spinal conditions, cervicogenic headaches, women’s health and chronic pain syndromes. She firmly believes in a biopsychosocial approach to chronic pain and mental health and in combining manual therapy with exercise science, while educating clients about their presentation to help them work towards their short and long term goals.
Outside work, Kia is a huge fan of supernatural and sci-fi pop culture. She also loves spending time with her family and pets, reading, taking long nature walks and meditating.
Kia is fluent in Hindi and Tamil, and also has experience with Marathi, Gujrati, Malayalam and Punjabi. She is available for consultation at our Clyde North Physiotherapy clinic.
