B.Physio (Hons), APAM
Abby joined the Berwick Physiotherapy team in 2022 after completing her Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) from Monash University. Having spent much of her younger years participating in competitive dancing and cheerleading, and being surrounded by injury (and physiotherapists!), it was only natural that she developed a deep interest in the body and its functions, aware that one day she would work within the healthcare industry helping others live a more pain free and fulfilling life.
Abby is very invested in the diagnosis and management of sporting and musculoskeletal injuries including those of an acute nature or in the pre- and post-operative population. She believes in working collaboratively with her patients to guide them through a rehabilitation journey that is individualised to their needs, goals and abilities, and strongly encourages her patients to seek more than a ‘band aid solution’ but instead look further and work towards a long-term solution. Abby’s rehabilitation approach involves a combination of hands-on therapy to reduce patients symptoms, in combination with education regarding appropriate activity modification and self-management alongside exercise prescription utilising both pilates and strength-based training. When out of clinic, Abby enjoys keeping active through a combination of running, strength training and Pilates, and spends her summers at the river, soaking up as much sun as possible, spending her days swimming and water skiing. Abby is available for consultation at our Berwick and Pakenham Lakeside clinics.
